FROM THE PASTOR

8 WEEK SUMMER INTERNSHIP

I am pleased to welcome Mr. Paul Fallon to an 8 week summer ministry internship in our Parish Community. Paul is from our Parish but also is a Seminarian at Blessed John XXIII Seminary in Weston, Massachusetts. Paul will live in the Rectory and observe, shadow and minister according to his ability, respecting the guidelines outlined by the Seminary Field Education Program.  Please take the time to say hello and introduce yourself. St. Theresa Parish is a great place to be and it is my hope that his 8 weeks with us will be fruitful and enjoyable.

2010 Catholic Appeal

Called to Love and Share

We still have $2270 to raise before we reach our parish goal of $42,500.  Thank you to the 282 families that have already contributed.  If you have not yet given, please consider a gift today and help us meet our goal.  Remember, our parish will receive 25 percent of all funds we raise above our goal.  So each gift has the potential to increase parish revenue while also supporting the important ministries funded by the Catholic Appeal.  If you have not yet made your gift, please consider making a pledge this weekend.  You can pick up information packets in the back of the Church with pledge forms to be mailed in.  Every gift matters.  Thank you!

PARISH NEWS

The next week’s special collection supports the retirement, medical care, and financial needs of priest of the Archdiocese of Boston. We ask you give generously to the priests that have devoted their lives to faithfully serve God and the good work of the Archdiocese. On behalf of all of our priests, thank you in advance for your generosity.

** MASS INTENTIONS FOR THE YEAR 2011**

We will begin accepting Mass intentions for the year 2011 on Tuesday, June 08, 2010. Please be patient - with your cooperation, we will do the best we can for all. Please call during hours of 11:00am-2:30pm. Thank you.

Many call for a Mass for a mother, another for a father, a son, daughter, a brother, another for a sister, etc.  Consider combining members of the family or families.  You will be limited to two (2) weekend Masses only. We are concerned that we will not be able to accommodate those families who have just lost a loved one and would like a Month’s Remembrance Intention after someone has died.  Most intentions cannot be based solely on a first come, first serve basis.  Most families do not even consider a first anniversary mass at the time of death. Fairness expects that we try to accommodate those who are just entering the grief process or journey.  Please keep in mind that daily Mass intentions are available but at times must be changed due to a Funeral(s).

The Twelve approached him and said, "Dismiss the crowd so that they can go to the surrounding villages and farms and find lodging and provisions; for we are in a deserted place here." He said to them, "Give them some food yourselves." - Lk 9:12b-13a
